Pantene Colour Protect Instant Nourishing Shine Spray and 2 Min Damage Rescue Treatment

This review comes courtesy of the two ladies in my family who constantly dye their hair.

I've had this range since before Christmas, thus they've tested it for a fair old while.

Party 1: A hair dyer who air dries her hair and only roughly blowdries their hair.
Party 2: A hair dyer who beats her hair with heat on a daily basis.

Both parties have shoulder length dyed hair.
My photos make the labels look red, they're a bright pink in real life.

Pantene Colour Protect Instant Nourishing Shine Spray (£4.07)

Ingredients:
Aqua, Amodimethicone, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-2 Methyl Ether, Polyquaternium-11, Disodium EDTA, Polysorbate 80, Parfum, Aminomethyl Propanol, Citric Acid, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Cetrimonium Chloride, Trideceth-12, Lysine HCl, DMDM Hydantoin, Hexyl Cinnamal, Methyl Tyrosinate HCl, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Histidine, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Acetate, Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Benzyl Benzoate.

Both parties have been using this once every two/three days and are very impressed.  They wash their hair about three times a week anyway so their hair never looks greasy or lank.  I've seen both raven haired foxes whilst they've been using this and their hair looks like glass.  It looks a lot healthier than it used to before.

It's quite long lasting too, they've been using it a fair bit (we split the bottle into two) and there is still plenty left.  The smell is a typical Pantene smell, fragrance has been added but we don't see that as a problem..and I've never used a spray like this that didn't have any fragrance injected into it.

Party 1 is quite impressed that it still adds shine when you don't use any heat which is something that I welcome.  I hate shine sprays that only work when you dry your hair with heat..which always makes me think..are they just hiding the heat damage?  If you're promising shine in a spray, it shouldn't be dependent on the adding of heat.

Party 2 also reports positive things.  She blow dries her hair and straightens it on a daily basis.  She said that her hair has never felt this soft and that the spray helps the brush and straighteners glide easier through her hair.  However, when she uses straighteners, she has to use a little less as being over zealous can make her hair look greasy.

You can pick it up here.  It's currently on a BOGOF offer.

Pantene Colour Protect 2 Min Damage Rescue Treatment
Ingredients:
Aqua, Stearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum, Disodium EDTA, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Panthenol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Lysine HCl, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Methyl Tyrosinate HCl, Sodium Hydroxide, Histidine, Magnesium Nitrate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Magnesium Chloride, Methylisothiazolinone, BHT.
Party 1's hair isn't damaged as she takes brilliant care of it..plus it's straight so not prone to the harsh realities that us frizz sufferers have to contend with.  She was advised to use a deep conditioner after dying her hair as it would make her hair feel softer as dye can sometimes leave your hair feeling rough.  She uses a pea sized amount of this and it does exactly what it says.  Her hair really feels a lot softer and smoother than before..which is quite an achievement as her hair was super soft to begin with.

Party 2 has a natural frizzbomb going on and thus uses heat to tame it.  Therefore, she has to use more than a pea sized amount and she likes it.  She used to use Kerastase Masque Chroma Riche but likes the Patene one more as it is quicker to work.  She saw results after two uses whereas the Kerastase took a lot longer and didn't work as well as the Pantene.  She reported back and said when she gave herself a blowdry, her hair felt salon soft.

This is currently selling for a bargainous £2.44 and you can pick it up here.  If you don't shop online, that has been price matched to Tescos so you can pick it up instore..

I might have left some bits out of the review so if you have a question, let me know..
